Atuendo
Formal-casual. Vestidos largos o midi en telas ligeras y fluidas son ideales para una celebración al aire libre a finales de enero. Los tonos suaves y los estampados delicados van muy bien con el ambiente de la hacienda.
Calzado
El terreno de la hacienda es de pasto y piedra, así que conviene un tacón grueso o de cuña: se maneja mucho mejor que uno delgado, que se hunde y se atora. Unas sandalias planas también son buena opción.
Clima
Los días son cálidos y soleados, y las noches refrescan. Trae algo ligero para la noche, como un chal o un rebozo.

Los días son cálidos y soleados, y las noches refrescan. Si decides no llevar saco, trae con qué cubrirte por la noche.

Una Opción con Historia
La Guayabera
Si no conoces la guayabera, es la camisa tradicional de la región: elegante, fresca y con bordados o alforzas (pliegues finos) en el frente. Es la camisa de fiesta clásica del sureste de México, perfecta para una boda al aire libre.

Tiendas y tianguis en el Centro
Por todo el Centro de Mérida hay tiendas y tianguis donde puedes conseguir una guayabera a buen precio, sin salir de la ciudad.
Tekit, Yucatán
A una hora de Mérida está Tekit, conocido como la capital de la guayabera, con varios talleres y tiendas donde encontrarás las de mejor calidad y precio. Queda algo retirado, pero vale la pena si buscas más variedad.

Outfit
Formal-casual. Long or mid-length dresses in light, flowing fabrics are ideal for an outdoor celebration in late January. Soft tones and delicate prints suit the hacienda beautifully.
Shoes
The hacienda's ground is grass and stone, so a block or wedge heel handles it far better than a thin one, which sinks and catches. Flat sandals are a good option too.
Weather
The days are warm and sunny, and the evenings cool down. Bring something light for the night, like a shawl or a wrap.

An Option with History
The Guayabera
If you don't know the guayabera, it's the region's traditional shirt: elegant, cool, with embroidery or fine pleats down the front. It's the classic celebration shirt of southeastern Mexico, perfect for an outdoor wedding.

Shops and markets in the Centro
All over Mérida's Centro there are shops and markets where you can pick up a guayabera at a good price, without leaving the city.
Tekit, Yucatán
An hour from Mérida, Tekit is known as the guayabera capital, with workshops and shops where you'll find the best quality and prices. It's a bit of a drive, but worth it if you want more variety.
