La hacienda es un lugar antiguo al aire libre, con pasto, piedra y algunos escalones entre las distintas áreas. Si tú o algún acompañante necesita apoyo para moverse, avísanos al confirmar y con gusto lo tomamos en cuenta.

The hacienda is an old open-air property, with grass, stone and a few steps between the different areas. If you or someone with you needs help getting around, let us know when you RSVP and we'll gladly plan for it.

Para la boda no: hay transporte. Si quieres explorar Mérida y los alrededores, un coche o un tour ayudan, pero no son indispensables (Uber y DiDi funcionan bien en la ciudad). Si decides rentar, puedes hacerlo desde el aeropuerto. Ver también Qué Hacer en Mérida.

For the wedding, no: there's transport. If you want to explore Mérida and the surrounding area, a car or a tour helps, but they aren't essential (Uber and DiDi work well in the city). If you do rent, you can do it from the airport. See also What to Do in Mérida.

Con hoteles, no hay problema en reservar con anticipación; solo hazlo directamente con el hotel, no en sitios de terceros (agregadores tipo Expedia o Booking), porque nos ha tocado que no respeten esas reservaciones. Con autos de renta es distinto: lo más confiable es apartar en persona al llegar; y si reservas en línea, igual que con los hoteles, hazlo directo con la agencia y no te sorprendas si hay contratiempos con el precio o el modelo exacto.

With hotels, booking ahead is fine; just do it directly with the hotel, not through third-party sites (aggregators like Expedia or Booking), because we've had them not honour those reservations. With rental cars it's different: the most reliable approach is to arrange it in person on arrival; and if you book online, as with hotels, go direct with the company and don't be surprised by hiccups with the price or the exact model.

En la boda no necesitas dinero: hay barra libre. Para el resto del viaje, conviene traer algo de efectivo en pesos: hoteles, tiendas y restaurantes grandes aceptan tarjeta, pero mercados, taxis, cenotes y lugares pequeños suelen ser solo en efectivo. Hay cajeros por toda la ciudad; los que están dentro de bancos suelen dar mejor tipo de cambio.

At the wedding you won't need money: there's an open bar. For the rest of the trip it's worth carrying some cash in pesos: hotels, shops and larger restaurants take cards, but markets, taxis, cenotes and smaller places are often cash only. There are ATMs all over the city; the ones inside banks tend to give a better exchange rate.

Durante la ceremonia te pedimos guardar el celular y estar presente con nosotros: tenemos fotógrafo y videógrafo cubriendo todo. Para el resto de la fiesta, si prefieres disfrutar sin el teléfono, mejor aún: queremos ver sus caras, no sus pantallas. Luego con gusto compartimos las fotos profesionales.

During the ceremony we're asking you to put your phone away and be present with us: we have a photographer and a videographer covering everything. For the rest of the party, if you'd rather enjoy it without your phone, even better: we want to see your faces, not your screens. We'll happily share the professional photos afterwards.
